Checkmate Construction, Inc.

We first met Norman Wilson, owner of Checkmate Construction, several years ago when we were planning on having a barn erected on property in the Ocala area. He had been recommended by a neighbor. We ended up getting a couple of quotes on the construction—from Norman and another company; and had Norman do the work for us. He was pleasant to deal with, reliable and very professional. One of our concerns was that the work was to be done while we were out of the country. That ended up not being a problem, however, as Norman sent photos of work which had been done, and we wired progress payments. I cannot say enough about the courtesy and professionalism shown on this project (we had a hay shed built at the same time). Everything ran on time and on budget. It was a huge relief to be able to rely on the work being handled in such a manner. I would not hesitate to have him do any future construction work for us. A man of his word!
